Craft and costume ideas
Here comes Carnival!
Carnival is a festive season before lent, usually celebrated in February or March. Traditionally during Carnival people wear colorful masks and costumes and participate in a parade, which contains elements of a circus and a street party.
Perhaps the most famous carnival in the world is the Carnaval de Rio, which falls this year on Friday 12th February until Tuesday, February 17th. Of course the samba schools will not be taking to the streets to parade this year, but there is still plenty to celebrate about Carnival in your own home.
Learn a little more about the traditions of Carnival and make costumes using Happythought's printable Carnival headdresses. The templates come in full color, or black and white to decorate and color in your own way.
